Owner purchased this bike new at >$1600.  

This beauty is a 2005 model, but was only ridden for 6 years.   It was used for competitive racing and has been very well maintained.  The aluminum frame is light weight while also providing a solid feel and ride.   The carbon wheel stays and forks add extra comfort while still having the stiffness of an aluminum frame.  The combined stiffness, comfort, and durability of a composite aluminum/carbon frame is considered by some to be superior to a new all-carbon bike in the $2,500 range.  

Other items of note:  Ultegra and Bontrager components with a Deore XT rear derailleur to allow for a bigger cassette and a broader range of gears while still having only 2 front chain rings, Mavic CXP 22 wheels, Selle San Marco saddle, and Shimano SPD pedals.

This is a 55cm compact frame so it can be easily fit to a rider that is average height or taller (probably heights anywhere from 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 1 inches or so).
