Description

A French Pastry Experience for 2

After a reception of freshly baked treats, the chefs will show you how to make an assortment of classic French sweets and desserts!  Of course you will sample as well and take home the recipes to recreate in your own kitchen. You'll even have a little French Pastry School specialty to take home and share with your family and friends. The recipes at each event may vary.

A tour of the school prior to the demonstration occurs 1/2 hour before your program begins, if you like.  The students will guide you through the kitchens with their unique point of view: you'll see them in action, be introduced to cutting-edge pastry technology, and have a chance to admire beautiful chocolate showpieces and exquisitely-decorated cakes!

The French Pastry School is located downtown next to the Willis Tower. The 2  hour experience times and dates are on their website: www.frenchpastryschool.com/visit-us/fpe

By Jacquy Pfeiffer and Martha Rose Shulman Winner of the 2014 James Beard Award for Best Cookbook, Dessert & Baking What does it take to perfect a flawless _clair? A delicate yet buttery croissant? In The Art of French Pastry award-winning pastry chef Jacquy Pfeiffer, cofounder of the renowned French Pastry School in Chicago, gives you just that.
Kings of Pastry - DVD

From the makers of the documentary classics Dont Look Back and The War Room. D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus are simply the best - so when they turn their sights on the competition for the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF), France's Nobel Prize for pastry, you're in for a treat. Sixteen chefs whip up the most gorgeous, delectable, gravity-defying concoctions, and there is edge-of the seat drama as they deliver their fantastical, spun-sugar desserts to the display table. The inevitable disasters prove both poignant and hilarious. (Courtesy of Film Forum)
