Race like the pros! Strap on your racing helmet, buckle-up into a six-point racing harness, and prepare to go on a wild ride on The Autobahn Country Club's road course in Joliet, Illinois. The Autobahn is a private racing and car enthusiasts club with no speed limits, 24 adrenile-packed corners, and no limit on driving fun! Your steed for this adventure will be a race-bred, not-street-legal Lotus 2-Eleven (a race-track-only open roof race car imported from the UK on a limited basis) driven by Bill Howard, a long-time road racer and member of the Autobahn. You will be Bill's guest for lunch and (at least - depending on the condition of your heart) one ride of 25 thrilling minutes wrapped in a carbon fibre Recaro racing seat on the Autobahn course. On course, Bill will talk you through the course and the corners through an in-helmet intercom, and he'll also provide you with a video of your ride for posterity and bragging rights as well as an Autobahn hat.
Donation valid for a weekend to be agreed upon during the 2015 racing season.
The cost for set-up of the car, track time and accoutrements is a $600.00 value.
Special Instructions
The passenger will be required to sign a waiver of liability form.
Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, and the waiver MUST to be signed by both of the passenger's parents or a legal guardian.
The passenger should be at least 16 years old, and 5'4" tall, to be able to take it all in.
Given the size of the race car, maximum passenger weight is 240 pounds.
