Artist's Statement: "I have done photography since I was a kid, progressing from an Argus C3 film camera back in the 1940's and 1950's to a Nikon D4 today. Many think of fine arts photography as black & white. Yet, how many grand masters painted in black and white; basically none. Historically, photography concentrated on black & white because darkrooms and enlargers gave total control over black and white but could not handle color well, if at all. The advent of digital photography and computer processing changed everything. To me, the art of photography is freezing a moment in time with the right balance of color, light, and composition -- whether a landscape, a portrait, or a piece of discarded flotsom. I can now return to that frozen moment and savor it again. Hopefully, now, you can too."
