The winner of this item will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime excursion to Tamil Nadu, in the South of India, where you will first spend five days on the set of a major feature film being shot by director and screenwriter Gautham Menon, whose semi-autobiographical film Vaaranam Aayiram (Thousand Elephants) won the 2008 National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.  On set, you'll have a full access pass as a guest of both the director and, your host, Executive Producer Swathi Raghuraaman, to meet the stars and observe the filming up-close along with behind-the-scenes work on the production.  For a young filmmaker, this is a rare opportunity to see and learn first-hand how a major feature film is made, and for an experienced filmmaker this is an invaluable chance to be on set alongside the director/producer while a major production is being shot.

The second half of your immersive Indian experience will take you from filmmaking in an urban setting to a small southern Indian village. You will spend four days as the guest of a leading Indian environmentalist and rural development expert who will expose you to the cultural, economic, and environmental aspects of the village, as well as the ever-increasing role of mobile technology in rural development.
