Description

Enjoy a delicious vertical collection of Cabernet Sauvignon from an exclusive winery in the Alexander Valley near Napa and Sonoma, California. You get one bottle each from 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, years that brought successful harvests leading to outstanding wines. Hafner Vineyard is a small family winery in Sonoma County's Alexander Valley just outside of Healdsburg. They have been growing grapes since 1967 and producing wine since 1982. In addition to the Cabernet, they make Chardonnay, a Malbec blend called "Next Red," and Rosé. Their wines age in wine caves longer than usual, making these selections mature enough to drink now or to save for a special occasion in the future. The wines are sold exclusively to patrons and to leading California restaurants. No wine shops.

If this description of the 2006 Cab appeals to you, this will be a treat: "Rich in structure and fruit-forward, the 2006 Cabernet opens with aromas of plums, mint and olives. Bittersweet chocolate, cigar box, vanilla and floral notes enhance the bouquet. Its long, chewy finish adds complexity and depth to the wine. Its youth is evident when tasting in comparison to its predecessors. Like all of our Cabernets, the 2006 has the structure and the richness to allow it to develop well for at least an additional ten years."
