Description

You won't want to miss out on this special creation handcrafted by all the students in Mrs. Rigsby's Room 3! Room 3 students were inspired by the artwork of Bauhaus artist Wassily Kandinsky, and sought to emulate his 1913 work entitled "Squares with Concentric Circles" in this piece. Each child's creativity is featured in the piece, and it is handsomely framed in a hand-forged aluminum frame.

Saint Mary's Hall parent Andrew Holmgreen of Holmgreen Iron Works crafted the frame entirely “by hand,” including the cutting, beveling, wire-brushing, drilling, milling, “T.I.G."-welding, and finishing.  It is an entirely custom piece crafted to complement the children's art, and was truly a labor of love. The finished frame is as beautiful as the artwork! This striking work of art and frame will be a treasured keepsake of your child's Montessori year long after he or she has graduated to Kindergarten.
