Anna Marie Rockwell was born in Greenbrae, California, in 1980. She received her B.F.A. in painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland Oregon in 2007 and her M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute in new genres in 2012. Aside from her degree programs she has also studied art in Spain, France and Mexico as well as participated in several international artist residencies.
