Instrumental Story Tellers camp is held at the Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, from 3:30 - 5 pm. There will be two sessions - June 15 - 19 and June 22 - 26.

Developed and taught by internationally acclaimed pianist and recording artist, Tanya Bannister, and veteran opera singer (andMSC Mom) Madeline Bender, Instrumental Story Tellers is a performance camp designed specifically for kids who arestudying to play a musical instrument.

Instrumental Story Tellers visionary approach inspires children to find their own unique artistic voices on their choseninstrument. Beginning with solo musical performances from each child, the group collaborates to create stories and theatricalscenes that bring each piece to life. Children will engage in storytelling activities and improvisational games to help themcreate a deeper connection with the music they study in private lessons. With daily guidance from world-class musicians,Instrumental Story Tellers culminates in a fun, enchanting showcase encompassing instrumental and theatrical performance.This revolutionary, multidisciplinary approach to instrumental study is designed to bring out your child's best playing andauthentic self-expression.

For children emerging from grades 1 - 5. All levels are welcome, but children must be able to play one solar piece from memory.
