Made from grapes produced by from their oldest vineyard.  Known as Block 5, it was originally planted in 1967 by Verne Hoffman, Sr.  These grapes produce a wine with that old vine intensity, with notes of leather and typical Zinfandel spice.  It is full bodied but has a soft texture and a pleasing oak backdrop.  We aged it in new American oak for 18 months.
