This 2 cd set performance of Hiawatha (Scenes from the Song of Hiawatha) was composed by Samuel Coleridge Taylor, conducted by Kenneth Alwyn with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Welsh National Opera.  The scenes presented here are Hiawatha's Wedding Feast, The Death of Minnehaha, and Hiawath's Departure.  The libretto and English Translation are included in this set.  The soloists include Helen Field (soprano), Arthur Davies (tenor) and Bryn Terfel (baritone).
