The Eggs Nest, located in High Falls, NY also fondly known as the Center of the Universe, is an Ulster County institution owned & operated by Richard & Gillian Murphy. The building had a spiritual start as it was originally built in the 1800s as the parsonage for the Dutch Reformed Church of the Clove Valley (now the High Falls Community Church). It then transformed into a private residence & then a small country pub. Richard purchased the building in 1973 & established The Eggs Nest, which has been a focal point for the community ever since. Richard, an outsider artist, views the restaurant as a living canvas, one that continually evolves and changes over time. Our aim is to provide you with a feast for your eyes as well as your body and soul. For over four decades The Eggs Nest is a place where good friends meet, be it old-time friends or those we just haven't met yet.
