Description
Join history buff J. B. Anderson for a one day tour of the Revolutionary War Battle of Brandywine starting at Elk Neck where General Howe did an amphibious landing of British and Hessian troops and follow their route up to Newark and the battle of Cooch’s Bridge and then up to Kennett Square for the final Battle of Brandywine. Understand General Howe’s tactical deception and flank attack on Washington’s right resulting in a British victory over the new Continental Army and the capture of Philadelphia. The tour will end with a late lunch at the Dillworth Town Inn where British Troops ended their attack at dusk on September 11, 1777
Tour is for 2 - 4 people and includes lunch.
