Gerber Miming Steak Knives

Description
Set of six Gerber Miming Steak Knives
Made by the historic Gerber Legendary Blades factory in Portland, Oregon in the late 50s/early 60s.
Per company tradition Gerber's Miming knife was named after a mythic blade, in this case the one forged by the Norse god of smithing for his son. For many years the Miming held the distinction of being the only cutlery displayed in MoMA's collection, understandable as the handle's elegant curve and weight and the slim profile of the blade make these knives a true pleasure to use. The set comes in a handsome presentation case (also made in Portland) of solid American walnut.
