This journey begins in the Colchagua Valley with a wonderful 2011 Montes Limited Edition Cabernet Sauvignon / Carmenere blend, a great example of why the reputation of Aurelio Montes has grown so tremendously over the last decade. At the Colchagua Valley, you will also enjoy a 2012 Siegel Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, a 2013 Natura Carmenere with bold flavors so unique to the Carmenere, and finally a 2012 BrisAndes Cabernet Sauvignon.

Next, we head to the Aconcagua Valley to enjoy the cool mornings under the shades of the Andres Mountains with a 2012 Estate Bottled Porta Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon featuring notes of dark chocolate and black/red fruits.

Next, we are off to the Leyda Valley for a 2013 Montes Limited Edition Sauvignon Blanc and the warm breezes off of the Pacific. We will move a little further south and reach the Casablanca Valley for Vistamar Vineyard’s humble 2013 Sepia Chardonnay.

Now, we find ourselves driving through Chile’s capital, Santiago, to the Maipo Valley and a 2012 Indomita Gran Reserva Carmenere. As you breathe in the powerful aromas, you wonder at the dark color and taste the Carmenere grape for the final time in this journey. This Inomita will leave a mark and make you want to return to Chile again and again.

While in the Central Valley, we become acquainted with the 2012 Radius Pinot Noir. In Cachapoal Valley, we indulge in the 2012 Chateau Los Boldos Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon. This superb Cab gives us the strength to leave Colchagua Valley once again and continue down to the Maule Valley, where we experience the 2012 Tricky Rabbit Pinot Noir Syrah blend. But our stay is quick and our journey finally ends at our southernmost location, the Bio Bio Valley.

What a journey we have had with such wonderful memories and amazing wine. Sadly, we must say Adios to our beloved Chile. Delay no longer and open up the 2012 Veranda Chardonnay to drink to many happy returns.
