Chicago Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center provides emergency, critical and specialty care to Chicago-area pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Join us for an exciting day of exploring the world of veterinary medicine!
Student shadow will learn basic veterinary skills as well as have the opportunity to explore the following areas of veterinary medicine (case load depending): Emergency, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Physical Rehabilitation and Surgery. The student's shadow experience can be custom tailored to match their interests.
Student should plan on a five-hour day, arriving at the Center (3123 N. Clybourn) at 10am and leaving at 3pm. Lunch and souvenir scrubs will be provided.
Job shadowing is an effective and efficient way for a high school junior or senior to gather information when choosing colleges, college programs, and majors!
Special Instructions
Winner responsible for transportation to and from job shadow location on mutually agreed-upon day. Two week advance notice required.
