Description
Beer goes upscale! Come to
The Village Tap in Roscoe Village for a private Beer Appreciation Class for 10 people.
The Village Tap has one of Chicago’s best selections of draft beer and a contemporary chef-driven menu.
Craft beer is not a new trend for them, it’s something they’ve been focused on since the craft beer movement came on the scene in Chicago shortly after they opened in June of 1990.
And, of course, it features one of “America’s Best Beer Gardens” as rated by Travel & Leisure Magazine, Fodors and Men’s Fitness.
Here's your chance to experience what Tap regulars don't even have the chance to taste. Your class will include 4-ounce samples of 6 beers specially chosen to compliment the topics under discussion, and a variety of delicious food
featuring fresh, sustainable meats and produce sourced from local farms - all specifically selected to be enjoyed as part of the experience.
The class will be personally conducted by Mike Green, proprietor of The Village Tap in Roscoe Village and Jak's Tap in the West Loop. Topics will include beer basics such as the ingredients in beer and how they effect the brewing process, how beer is brewed, the main categories of beer and their characteristics, Belgian v. domestic beers, etc. By the end of the class, participants will have a new appreciation of beer and tools to continue learning about and appreciate beer.
