In 2006, Wine Spectator named this Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova 2001 the world's top wine, calling it "one of the best examples of the recent winemaking renaissance in Tuscany". They gave is a score of 97 points and went on to say that the 2001 vintage is Casanova di Nera's "best Tenuta Nuova ever, delivering the depth, richness, freshness and unique character expected of such a great vintage".

If the winning bidder is not present the night of the Green & Gold Gala to pick up this item, the winning bidder must either a) come to the Lane Tech store on a Friday before June 6 to pick up the item or b) pay shipping and handling fees to mail the item to them which will be added to the winning bid amount.
