Winning bidder will receive one week of baseball camp from Northeastern University Summer Baseball Camp. Choose from one of two weeks in July of 2015:

This is for ages 6-12.  The camp is held at Friedman Diamond at Parsons Field.

About Northeastern Husky Baseball Camp:

This will be the 2nd year of Coach Mike Glavine's Northeastern Summer Baseball Camp after Coach McPhee ran the camp for 25 years. The camp has become a must for Little League age players in Brookline and surrounding towns. It is a camp that produces one of the most FUN baseball experiences for players and also offers fundamental drills in learning how to play our national pastime! The camp is co-ed and open to all players from ages 6 - 12.

The unique aspect of the camp is the use of the Incrediball in all games and most drills. The Incrediball allows players to play fast and aggressive on every play because it takes all "fear" out of the "bad hop." The Incrediball is a Nylon stitched ball that plays as fast as the baseball and creates a fun atmosphere, which is competitive, and produces "incredible" action that players love!! The other aspect of the camp that produces a "real" baseball atmosphere is Friedman Diamond's all Field Turf surface, which is divided into 4 LL fields, all with fences. Beautiful artificial Green "grass," No Bad Hops, No Slide Burns, Safe & Fun!

All players are given a locker in our air conditioned club house, and there is never a rain day rain out. If inclement weather, the coaches drive players in university vans to our indoor athletic facility on campus, Cabot Center. Cabot is also an all Field Turf facility where we can produce "mini games" and drills, just like at Friedman Diamond.

The coaching staff is made up of college and high school coaches, as well as NU players. Full time medical staff also is on site. Please come and join the generations of Brookline kids who have loved our camp!

About New Head Coach Mike Glavine

Mike Glavine begins his first season as head coach and ninth season overall with Northeastern in 2015, having previously served as a fulltime assistant and recruiting coordinator for the Huskies the last four seasons.

In September 2013, Glavine was named Neil McPhee¿s successor as head coach. McPhee retired at the conclusion of the 2014 season after serving as head coach for 29 years.

As an assistant coach, Glavine worked primarily with the Huskies¿ infielders and hitters. A native of Billerica, Massachusetts, Glavine was inducted into the Northeastern Hall of Fame in 2006 for excellence in the sport of baseball and brings with him 10 years of experience at the professional level.

Glavine spent four years at Northeastern and left as one of the most prolific hitters in Huskies history. He made a big splash in his freshman season, as he batted .307 with 19 extra-base hits, including a school-record nine triples. In his career, the first baseman hit 28 home runs and knocked in 110 RBI, which placed him third and ninth, respectively, in the school¿s all-time record books. The left-handed slugger also accumulated 120 career walks, good for second all-time at Northeastern, as well as a .552 slugging percentage.

After graduating from Northeastern, Glavine spent 10 seasons in professional baseball after being drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 1995, with most time coming at the Double A and Triple A levels. In 2003, Glavine was called up to the major leagues by the New York Mets for the final month of the season, where he played with his older brother, Tom. He got his first major league hit in his last game with the Mets, on Sept. 28, 2003 against the Florida Marlins. He became the third Husky to play in the major leagues, joining George Yankowski and Carlos Pena.

Glavine, who retired from baseball in 2004, lives in Lexington, Massachusetts with his wife, Carissa, two daughters, Ava and Sophia, and son Luke.

About Assistant Coach Kevin Cobb

Kevin Cobb is entering his fourth year as pitching coach at Northeastern and his first as recruiting coordinator. In his current role, Cobb oversees day-to-day baseball operations and recruiting tasks for the Huskies.

Under Cobb's direction, the Huskies pitching staff recorded a 3.08 ERA in 2014, ranking second in the CAA and 35th in Division I baseball. Senior Chris Carmain earned Third Team All-CAA honors, while freshman Dustin Hunt earned Third Team All-CAA, All-Rookie Team, and Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American honors.

In 2013, the Husky pitching staff finished first in the CAA with a 3.89 ERA. The conference-low ERA was good enough to rank them 90th in the nation, and senior ace Kevin Ferguson was awarded Second Team All-CAA honors.

During his time at Northeastern, Cobb has coached three professional pitchers, seeing players sign a contract each of the last three seasons. Andrew Leenhouts was drafted in 2012 by the San Francisco Giants in the 23rd round, Kevin Ferguson signed as a free agent with the Houston Astros in 2013, and this past spring Chris Carmain signed with the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League.

Prior to his time at Northeastern, Cobb spent two years coaching at his alma mater, Bryant University. In his two years as coach at Bryant, the Bulldogs compiled 64 wins and won the NEC regular season conference title in 2010.

During the summer of 2010, Cobb was the pitching coach for the Lowell All-Americans of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. At Lowell, Cobb helped mentor five pitchers that went on to become MLB draft picks.

Cobb ended his collegiate pitching career with a 19-3 record on the mound while helping the Bulldogs make two NCAA regional appearances. He captained the Bulldogs to a 32-22 record in the program's inaugural Division I season, ending the year with a perfect 7-0 record and earning All-New England honors. Cobb and his teammates earned 128 wins over the four years he was a player, including 11 in postseason play.

A native of Acton, Massachusetts, Cobb graduated from Bryant University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a concentration in finance.
