Description

This 9" tall gilted statue, a copy of the original, is of Bastet, a goddess in ancient Egyptian religion (2890BC). Sometimes cat and sometimes lioness, she was the protector of lower Egypt. Bastet was the goddess of cats, protection, joy, dance, music and love. This statue is from Dr. Ragab's Pharaonic Village Museum in Egypt.
