Future Hall of Famer Simmons was the 2014 MLB.com Defensive Player of the Year (NL), 2014 Wilson Defensive Player of the Year (NL), and the NL Rawlings Golden Glove winner in 2013 and 2014. In 2013, Simmons was the Platinum Glove winner as the best overall defensive player in the National League.
