Artists Statement - Kim Kohler

Kim has been painting since the 1960’s. She paints in both realism and abstract styles, depending on the time, place and inspiration. She uses water-based media including impasto, for texture and design elements that enhance the image.

Kim is in her 28^th year teaching art at Chadwick School. She feels like being an art teacher gives her the chance to help unlock the creativity that is in all young people.
