"The One Love Foundation was created in 2010 following the death of Yeardley Love, a UVA senior who lost her life to relationship violence at the hands of her ex-boyfriend just two weeks shy of graduation. Originally created to honor “Yards” and draw attention to student athletes like her who contribute positively to their teams and communities, the organization now seeks to prevent future tragedies by raising awareness about the warning signs of relationship violence."
