Shawna Pierce is a local artist who creates beautiful pieces with her hands. They are often homey and are influenced by different cultures around the world and by nature.

All of my pieces are hand made in my studio in Danville, California. The majority of my pieces are thrown on the wheel while some are constructed by hand using a slab roller. Pieces are bisque fired to 1800+ degrees, glazed, then fired again to 2200+degrees. All pieces are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. When using your piece in the oven, do not place it in a pre-heated oven as this could cause the glaze to crack. Slow warming and cooling of the piece is recommended. All pieces will hold water as they are naturally porous so you will need to allow sufficient time for the piece to air dry before putting it away.
