Haut Poitou lies a short distance to the south of the Loire Valley, near the town of Poitou. Here the Sauvignon Blanc grape offers much of the character of a Touraine or Sancerre and is of exceptional value. This fresh dry and fruity wine shows expressive gooseberry, lemon and grassy flavours whilst retaining an excellent balance of weight and acidity with a clean, zingy finish.
