The Return of Your Own Personal Tamalada! 100 Tamales!

This auction lot is a perennial favorite around here. The word is out, these really ARE the best tamales to be had! So, here it is, again…

Today, no celebration in the Hispanic community is complete without a proper showing of tamales. Families argue over who makes the best tamales, and friendly rivalries abound. Now, here is your chance to be the lucky recipient of 100 tamales, this year made by our own Promotora chefs, led by incomparable local chef, Oralia Garcia. Cheese, pork, chicken, … you can even request them vegetarian if you wish! Just perfect for a large family celebration or other special occasion. 

Las Promotoras are Calistoga and St. Helena residents who participate in the UpValley Family Center Leadership Program, with goals to build a stronger UpValley community. They are trained to become advocates in the areas of mental health, social services, community health, and leadership …and are actively giving back to our community.

But more importantly for this auction lot, the Promotoras are also well known for their very, very, very excellent Mexican home cooking. We are grateful to the Promotoras for their contribution, and pleased that you and your family and friends can enjoy their wonderful creations. Here is your chance to celebrate your own “Tamalada”, where coming together to enjoy wonderful food is the very foundation of all things family.

Special Note:  Tamales will be delivered in Napa County, or may be picked up at one of the Family Center locations, in St. Helena or Calistoga. May be redeemed in two batches. 30 days advance notice, please.
