Here is your opportunity to enjoy a one of a kind, hands-on tasting experience with winemaker extraordinaire and Meteor Vineyard partner, Dawnine Dyer, at award-winning Meteor Vineyard.
Meteor Vineyard is the epicenter of the newest of Napa Valley’s AVAs, Coombsville. This is Cabernet country through and through and Meteor grows 3 different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon to make a wine that is a true representation of the terroir of this remarkable vineyard. Your visit will include a tour of the vineyard to see the volcanic soils and discuss aspects of terroir. You’ll then have a chance to taste the component lots of Cabernet with the winemaker in advance of the final blend- and to try your hand at the “art” of blending.
After your tasting, enjoy a casual lunch with wines from Meteor Vineyard with Dawnine and other members of the Meteor team who will regale you with stories of farming this magical land.
And, so that this day will remain in your memories, bring home a magnum of 2010 Meteor Special Family Reserve described as …”vibrant, violet-hued, intense, blackberry, voluptuous, upfront, ripe, focused, precise, with classic balance and structure”.
