Description

Zacatecas Style Mole dinner, with a performance by Ballet Folklorico Zempoalxochitl, for 10 guests

Join UpValley Family Center board member Oscar DeHaro, whose family roots go back four generations to Zacatecas, Mexico, in a delicious, colorful and informative cultural immersion like none other.

Oscar and his family will prepare a traditional mole dinner for 10 people, using a 95-year old family recipe that is spicy and full of flavor, accompanied by handmade, homemade tortillas. While your dinner is being prepared in the Chef’s Kitchen at Napa Valley College, St. Helena, Dr. Sandra Nichols, with degrees from Stanford and UC Berkeley, will share stories about the 60-year plus connection between Zacatecas and the Napa Valley.

And, of course, since this is the Napa Valley, your delicious three-course meal will be paired with wines made by local winemakers with Zacatecas roots.

After your meal, the Ballet Folklorico Zempoalxochitl will perform for you. This Napa dance group is committed to carrying out the tradition of dance and preserving the heritage of Mexican folk dancing. It's a beautiful and colorful performance, loved valley-wide!

Grab your friends and get a group together for an afternoon you’ll not soon forget, full of good food, and good wines, from good people.
