Description
Larz Anderson Auto Museum - Family Membership
The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is home to “America’s Oldest Car Collection”.
Larz and Isabel Andersons’ collection began with the purchase of their first vehicle, an 1899 Winton 4-hp Runabout. The Andersons continued to purchase an automobile nearly every year after that, acquiring a total of thirty-two brand new motorcars during the course of their lives. Fourteen of these vehicles, including the Winton 4-hp Runabout, plus many of the Andersons’ original horse-drawn carriages remain in the Museum’s permanent collection.
Certificate is valid for a 1-year membership, which will allow up to four (4) people into the Museum and lawn events for free.
A membership to the museum not only provides unlimited access to the museum and newly renovated Automotive History Research library and Media Center, but offers discounts at the museum store, free admission to lawn events and special exhibits, and invitations to "member's only" events such as the annual Member's Party.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles by Chris Oxlade
The first in a series of concertina fold-out books, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles features one hundred iconic boats, bikes, and other examples of creative excellence. This is a comparative history of transportation, illuminated in a visually accessible timeline that can be read back to front, top to bottom, and right to left. Brought to life by Mike Lemanski, this book is a stylish tribute to vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
Candlewick Press arrived on the scene with some of the highest-quality picture books anywhere. And in the years since then, their offerings have grown to encompass all ages, from board books to e-books, high-end novelty to cutting-edge fiction. What hasn't changed is their goal of excellence, their model of independence, and their commitment to the authors and illustrators who create their books and the readers who love them. Two decades and more than 2,000 awards and accolades later, they are as committed as ever to independent thinking and primed for a future that looks brighter than ever.
