Arts in Action VAP's Fine Art Portfolio PREP Class for 8th Graders is geared toward the creation of a fine art portfolio for presentation for entry into the specialized art high schools like LaGuardia.
Arts in Action offers a sequentially structured fine art curriculum that teaches the skills, and concepts all fine artists employ in their art, just scaled down to age appropriate levels of understanding in a fun, and supportive way. There are no mistakes in art, only opportunities to explore.
Arts in Action VAP Inc., was created 22 years ago, by director Angela Tripi-Weiss, juried fine artist, and former director of fine art education at PS 87, the Special School of Music, and fine art workshop educator for Museum of Natural History. Ms. Tripi-Weiss is a three-time Black Board award winner for academic excellence in fine art education.

- Donations from Arts in Action Visual Art Programs must be won by different families.
