This colorful collage of the New York City skyline at night was created by Ms. Kallman’s 3rd grade class. All students were given a cutout of a building or other NYC icon and asked to decorate it using the materials of their choice.  After the buildings were assembled, the entire class helped create the elements of the night sky above Manhattan.   

Using an eclectic mix of colors and materials -- including markers, watercolors, oil pastels, colored pencils and metallic Sharpies -- the children beautifully captured the energy, diversity and excitement that defines life in the Big Apple.  The collage also features a quote from each child about what makes New York such a special place. It is individually signed by each artist.
