The saga of the Heslip Family Winery began in 1977 when Brian Heslip purchased a property in Marin County that contained a small Zinfandel vineyard dating back to pre-prohibition when the area was primarily vineyards and orchards. Brian and an experienced neighbor combined their grape harvest and began to make wine.

Ours is a limited production winery which enables us to be very patient, hands-on and selective. Our choices are not influenced by marketing or business decisions, but guided by the harvest. We have carefully cultivated an impressive list of growers of superior fruit so necessary in making a fine wine.

We presently produce 400 cases a year. Due to our limited production, wine tasting is by appointment only. Should you purchase without tasting, an unconditional guarantee of satisfaction is assured.

Heslip Family Wine carries a distinctive label bound by a silk cord stamped with red wax.
