The PGA announced in 2002, that Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, the site of virtually every significant major championship since its debut in 1962, was selected as the site of the 41st Ryder Cup in September 2016.

Hazeltine, which played host to its first PGA Championship in 2002 and then again in 2009, will be the first club in Minnesota to host the biennial event that brings together the United States and Europe in a compelling match-play format.
