Description

If you have never attended an opera, San Francisco Opera invites you to explore this classic art form in one of North America’s most beautiful performance venues, the historic War Memorial Opera House. Opera is growing in popularity among younger and older generations. Come see for yourself what the excitement is all about.

Choose from performances of Two Women or The Marriage of Figaro

Two Women:  Toward the end of World War II, a strong-willed widow and her 16 year old daughter flee Rome in a vain attempt to find safety.  Music Director Nicola Luisotti conducts the lushly expressive score by Italian composer Marco Tutino; Anna Caterina Antonacci stars.

The Marriage of Figaro:  Mozart's warmest, wisest opera is also one of his most graceful.  In this tender comedy, a countess and her servant join forces to punish her aristocrat husband for philandering, and two couples learn humbling lessons about life and love.  Principal Guest Conductor Patrick Summers leads an exciting young cast.

This is for two tickets to a performance of San Francisco Opera's 2014-15 Season, Monday through Thursday evenings, September 9, 2014 - June 30, 2015.  Visit www.sfopera.com for more information and a list of performance dates.
