Description
Two tickets for free admission to the Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington, Delaware.
Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine in Wilmington, Delaware, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E. I. du Pont in 1802. This example of early American industry includes restored mills, a workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.
Hagley's library furthers the study of business and technology in America. The collections include individuals' papers and companies' records ranging from eighteenth-century merchants to modern telecommunications and illustrate the impact of the business system on society.
Opened to the public since 1957, the Hagley Museum and Library has educated millions of visitors and scholars on the history of business, industry, and innovation through educational exhibits and world-class research collections. At Hagley, we invite people of all ages to investigate and experience the unfolding history of American business, technology, and innovation, and its impact on the world, from our home at the historic DuPont powder yards on the banks of the Brandywine. Our vision is to be a place where innovation inspires and imaginations run wild.
