Marcon-Vilages "Eros" 

Christian Vergier is a respected, well-known enologist, educator and entrepreneur that launched his own micro-negociant brand focused on specific terroirs in Macon and Beaujolais. These two southern Burgundy sub-regions have an abundance of vine growers, but very few quality-driven independent producers, so the majority of each harvest usually ends up going to local cooperatives or into the wines of large negociants. To preserve the natural character of the grapes, Vergier began sourcing fruit from these superior sites for his bottlings, rather than allowing them to become diluted in regional blends.

• Christian Vergier "Eros" Macon-Villages is a fresh, expressive chardonnay boasting lovely aromas of lemon, green apple and wildflowers. The palate opens with a vibrant note of ripe pear, followed by melon, white peach and a burst of citrus. Bright acidity melds with a brisk minerality on the finish.
