Item Number: 296
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Brendan Greeley, co-anchor of Surveillance, Bloomberg TV's 6:00 - 8:00 a.m. morning show, will host you and your child for a morning of seeing how the news gets made! Brendan will meet you before the broadcast begins and show you to the control room (the big room with all of the TVs where producers scream and all the decisions get made). After the broadcast, he'll take you to breakfast and talk about the day's show and how it came together.
Brendan Greeley is also a staff writer at Bloomberg Businessweek.
Previously, Greeley was a technology and policy correspondent at The Economist. Greeley also launched, edited, and contributed to the publication's Babbage blog. Before joining The Economist, Greeley was “blogger in chief” for the public radio program “Open Source,” a national show distributed by Public Radio International. His freelance print work has appeared in the New York Times, the New York Times Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal Europe.
In 2012, he received a New York Press Club award for special events reporting for a Bloomberg Businessweek cover story, "Why Bin Laden Lost." Greeley is an affiliate at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.
