Does your kid like to write rock songs?  PS 39 dads Dave Miller and Josh Matthews, and the other members of the band After School Special, will work with your aspiring song writer or lyricist to arrange their song.  After that, it's time to go into the studio where the band will record the song.  And if your song writer is a performer as well they can lay down some tracks with the band!  This is a really terrific opportunity to work with professional musicians and see what the song-writing and recording process is all about!

After School Special performed at PS 39's Rocktoberfest event last year at The Old Stone House and will be performing there again for the JJ Byrne Benefit Event on June 6th.  They'll also be performing at the PS 39 Spring Carnival this year!
