Owned by Brendan McHale and Jason Holoway, this East Village neighborhood restaurant features coastal cuisine, along with an extensive but accessible wine list and original cocktails.

Daisy Melamed of nymag.com wrote, "The Eddy, located on a block of East 6th Street chock-full of Indian joints, is a cozy break from theme. Partner Jason Soloway, who’s also at the helm of Wallflower, decked out the rustically comfortable space with lots of wooden furniture and basic, chic tableware. The small plates are particularly successful; standouts include bacon tater tots topped with English pea puree and mustard, beef-tendon puffs that snap and crackle in your mouth, topped with charred onion crème and trout roe, and a crudo of scallop with watermelon gelee, bok choy, buttermilk. and dill. A small pot of salmon rillettes comes with deliciously crispy malt-vinegar potato skins, and cashew butter adds a rich, sweet quality to roasted carrots with pecorino and gremolata. The ricotta gnocchi are light as air, though simpler in flavor, and while large plates like golden spotted tilefish with squid-ink hollandaise and grass-fed rib-eye with St. Albray fondue and crushed potatoes are palatable, it’s a better move to fill up on the starters. Cocktails are another focal point: The beautiful Lily of the Valley, made with Greenhook Gin, blueberry-lavender cordial, lemon, and sea salt, comes in a small teacup, and the Mont Blanc Refresher—Mizu Shochu, Vermouth del Professore, jasmine coconut cream, Pinot Grigio, Clandestine, and grapefruit—is a light, sweet taste of the beach.
