Spoon & tbsp was hand selected by amNewYork’s Lucy Blatter as one of the "Best of the Brunch Bunch."  Join us each weekend for Melissa’s seasonal specials and her tried and true Buttermilk Pancakes.

Spoon is founded on the idea that fresh, local ingredients and quality recipes make for culinary success.  Chmelar peppers her kitchen with hand-picked, seasonal organic produce grown in upstate New York at Mountain Dell Farms. Delivered daily, all produce, meats and fish are fresh, local, and organic when available.  Guests enjoy gourmet delicacies in a balance between comfort and modernity.

Spoon is the perfect city brunch destination.  Melissa is always thinking creatively about the future by referencing the past, and adding her own modern edge.  Spoon embraces a return to old school culinary values of local ingredients and freshness.

"One of my favorite brunch spots. I tend to usually get the same dish, eggs spaniard - Pan tomate, shaved Manchego cheese, 2 perfectly poached eggs, and fresh pico de gallo served with yummy seasonal greens. Amazing!!! My friends usually get the huevos rancheros - Corn tortilla with two lightly fried eggs, black beans, tomatillo salsa, crème fraîche, cheddar cheese served with a buttermilk biscuit) and Spoon's Famous Buttermilk Pancakes (Buttermilk pancakes with fresh whipped cream and Vermont blueberry maple syrup with double-smoked bacon).

"There's a lot of great brunch spots in NYC. What really sets a place apart is having an establishment provide not only good food but great service too. The staff is extremely nice and super accommodating."
