The National Zoo's Great Ape House is home to two amazing species: gorillas and orangutans. These animals receive top-notch care by dedicated keepers who will lead you behind-the-scenes. Zookeepers will guide you through training sessions, enrichment devices, and diet preparation that keep our animals healthy and engaged!
Special Instructions
All tour participants must be at least 13 years old. Tour should be coordinated with Ape House staff (typically afternoons around 2pm is ideal). Tour max is 10 people, although smaller groups are highly encouraged. Tour expires April 1, 2016.
