SCBI Cheetah Paw Print

Item Number: 357
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Since the population of the cheetah is so endangered, the Smithsonian Conservation and Biology Institute (SCBI) has developed special breeding programs to save this species. Providing conditions that imitate natural habitats is vital for the animals to breed in captivity. Scientists also make use of assisted reproductive technologies. This large-sized paw print of a baby cheetah is a sign of how big it will be as an adult and also how large its future babies might be. Approximately 10" x 17" (matted). Photo by Meghan Murphy.
