Tuberose are extremely fragrant tropical lilies with double-petals that are a rare specialty in Sonoma County.  These long stemmed beauties have their peak in August, but produce terrific stems all the way until the first frost.  Farmers Heidi Herrmann and Scott Knippelmeir acquired 10,000+ tuberose lily bulbs from an elderly farmer living in Santa Rosa who acclimated them to our region.

Strong Arm Farm is located on about 1.5 acres in Healdsburg. They sell vegetables, flowers, and Sonoma Coast seaweed, the latter being a unique addition to their activities and wares. Scott and Heidi sell primarily to local outlets, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening the local ecomony. They are in the process of becoming California Certified Organic Farmers.
