Marcy Basel had been studying Acupuncture and Herbs for over seventeen years and has a private practice in Sebastopol. She is trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Zero-Balancing, Nutrition, Color healing and Energy work.
Cranial Sacral Therapy and Somata Emotional Release use a gentle touch that release tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole body health. Using a soft touch allows restrictions in the soft tissue that surround the central nerrvous system to be healed. This therapy works with orthopedic problems, fatigue, migraines, neck and shoulder problems, stress, and pain.
The Chinese Materia Medica describes thousands of medicinal substances-primarily plants, minerals and animal products. Different parts of plants, such as leaves, roots, stems and flowers are used. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, herbs are combined in formulas and given to patients to achieve balance and reinforce the acupuncture treatments. Western herbs, vitamins and minerals are also prescribed.
