 Founded in 1968, Diamond Creek is California's first exclusively Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyard. Diamond Mountain is located in the Mayacamas Range in the northeastern side of Napa Valley. Because of the high elevation of this area, the vineyards are allowed to grow and ripen without the influences of the fog that typically covers the valley floor during the growing season. The vineyard is over 30 years old and planted in rocky volcanic soil and consequently produces a low volume of high quality fruit; a much more concentrated, powerful intense fruit - exactly what you need for a great cabernet.
