The winning bidder will receive a diagnostic exam and 1 month of math education at Mathnasium in Santa Monica. Students usually attend two or three times a week for about an hour.

Mathnasium's goal is to significantly increase a child's math skills, understanding of math concepts, and overall school performance, while building confidence and forging a positive attitude toward the subject.

Mathnasium's approach is to use sophisticated techniques to determine what a student knows and does not know.  Mathnasium then tailor-makes a personalized and prescriptive learning program.  Each student follows the program with the help of specially trained Mathnasium math tutors who provide instruction and lots of warm encouragement!
