1992 Beautiful Ardleigh Elliott collectible music box with exquisite decoration inspired by Natalia Zaitseva's black lacquered exquisite art. The removable top is covered with a classic scene portraying the lovers' dance from the Russian ballet and around the sides are 4 vignettes that retell the story of Swan Lake. Elaborate filigree of 22K gold all around the sides as well as a generous band around the base. The music box inside plays the wistful and haunting refrain from one of the world's greatest musical scores - Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake". It is oval in shape and about 2" H x 3.75" W. Hand numbered as 6182A. There is a narrative under the number written in Russian of the history of Swan Lake Ballet.
