The most vibrant colors of band come in pure latex rubber from Kerala in South India where locally produced rubber bands are used for everything from wrapping up goods bought in shops to making footballs from bundled up newspaper. Here it is vital to everyone from the postman to the shopkeeper that the bands they use come in beautiful colours.
