Surprise Lake Camp is located in the heart of the Hudson Valley in Cold Spring in the mountains. The sleep-away camp was founded in 1902 and has a rich, respected history. At the same time, the camp is in keeping with the best of current camping trends with an emphasis on community, nature, drama, sports and Jewish values.

The Get-Your-Feet-Wet program is for first time sleep-away campers and allows them to try out being away from home for 5 days.

Several of Kane Street Synagogue's 6th graders went to Get-Your-Feet-Wet a few years ago and continue to attend Surprise Lake Camp along with younger siblings.
