Du Jour, a new Brooklyn bakery, offers a collection of well-made cookies, muffins, scones, cupcakes, cakes, brioches, croissants and desserts like butterscotch pudding. The simple but inviting brick-walled space is a largely do-it-yourself project by T. J. Obias; his wife, Vera Tong Obias; and their partner, Tae Kyung, who did most of the design and construction. The couple are both pastry chefs who have worked in a number of New York restaurants, including Dovetail, Morimoto, Café Gray and Buddakan.
